Do not  Assume

Anyone had this experience?

I received my hospital letter telling me that I had been removed from their list as I had failed to attend my appointment and failed to notify them.  Should I wish to get another appointment then I would have to go through the referral process again via my GP or whoever my referrer was.

Well I was so furious that they had assumed that I had received the appointment in the first place.   I felt so strong on the principle of it, that I immediately got paper and pen and wrote to them suggesting that they note my comments and  not to assume that I had received the appointment, as I had not.  I further informed them that I do not waste NHS time and at the very least would phone and cancel an appointment if I could not make it. Again I reminded them, not to assume I simply didnt bother to turn up.

Do you think that they will take any notice of my comments?  me thinks not.

I did want to write, do not assume , because to assume, can make an ASS out of U and ME, but I did manage to hold back!
