Islam

My Perspective on Islam

I converted to Islam through my own choice, after having the read the Holy Quran. It took me 2 years to make this decision and a decision I did not make lightly.  I have read the Quran 4 times and follow Islam as best as I can.  I have read a lot about Hz Muhammed (PBUH) and his life.  My Husband is Muslim and we have different views on Islam.

What I did find very confusing was the fact there are 73 types of Muslim, who all believe that their way is the right way. Having read and studied the Holy Quran 4 times, my understanding is that all Muslims should follow in the footsteps of Hz Muhammed PBUH (peace be upon him)

The Holy Quran unlike the Bible has no different versions and remains unaltered. Many scientific explanations were already told in the Holy Quran 1,400 years ago.  I would urge everyone to read the Quran and decide for themselves.

All I can do is follow Islam as best as I can and try to ensure that I keep the 5 pillars of Islam.

My understanding is that there should not be different sects of Islam and they should all be the same.

There are 4 important Imams (Imans lead the prayer and worship and guide the community) in Islam they are Mezheb , Hanifi, Shafi, Maliki and Hambele, and to follow any of those teachings would be acceptable.  I am not a modern Muslim as in Alevi but have modern views.  I am just a Muslim who wants to go about in this life peacefully and quietly, and do what is right for the next life.

I must point out that I had not met with my husband when I converted to Islam, some people assume that I did.

Islam is peace
